Ex Tenerife footballer, ‘Jesuli’ has now denied that he was paid money to lose the last match of last season against Málaga. El Mundo newspaper yesterday printed a claim from the player that he accepted 6,000 € but now he said that was not so and his ‘confession’ was ‘extracts of a private conversation’ made public without his permission.
Jesús Antonio Mora was however reportedly aware that the conversation was being recorded at the time by the Chaiman of the Real Sociedad football club, Iñaki Badiola.
Meanwhile other Tenerife players have denied that they were paid, and Málaga had threatened the ex-player with legal action, and reports are now that it is considering taking action instead against Iñaki Badiola.
