Penélope Cruz empty handed at the Golden Globes

The Oscar now looks less likely for Penélope Cruz who left the Golden Globes last night empty handed after being nominated in the Best Supporting Actress role for Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
Partner Javier Bardem was also nominated for the film, did not attend the Globes and also ended up without a gong, but Woody Allan did pick up the Best Comedy globe for the film set in Oviedo and the Catalan Capital.
Big individual winner on the night was Kate Winslet, and Best Film and Director went to the Briton Danny Boyle for the excellent Slumdog Millionaire.
