El Mundo notes the marches in support of Palestine in Spain yesterday and says the left wing considers Israel of carrying out genocide in Gaza. The paper notes that the PSOE Socialist Zerolo said that the party was for peace in the face of the Jewish government. The Israeli embassy has denounced what it considers the two faced nature of Zapatero.
El País has said that Madrid has returned to chant ‘No to War’, six years after marching against the war in Iraq. The paper also looks at life in Gaza and says the Palestinians have spent three years and 16 days in the slums of Gaza.
ABC headlines that Zapatero has aligned himself with the Palestinians and demands a cease fire from Israel. The paper says the PSOE Socialist party described the Israeli state as terrorist during the Madrid demonstration yesterday.
The paper says that Spanish Foreign Minister, Miguel Angel Moratinos, starts a tour of the Middle East to try and mediate on the Gaza conflict.
ABC also reports that the Hebrew Army has asked to make the most of the occasion to do away with Hamas.
Público dedicates its front page to the story and says the Spanish Government has increased the tone of its condemnation of Israel. It says that after a weekend of protests, Zapatero has demanded an ‘immediate cease fire’ from Tel Aviv. The paper notes that he has challenged the opposition leader Mariano Rajoy to make a statement on this new aggression against the Palestinian people. Público says that Gaza city is now under the control of the Israeli army.
El Periódico de Catalunya reports that the clamour against the offensive in Gaza is increasing in Spain.
La Vanguardia considers that Zapatero’s position will alter Spanish relations with Israel.
El Mundo says that the Minister for Development, Magdalena Álvarez has gone on the attack against the Partido Popular regarding the weather chaos over the weekend, and is to investigate Iberia. Her argument is that Esperanza Aguirre, the PP Regional President of Madrid is the ‘main shareholder’ through Caja Madrid.
El País leads with the headline that the strike action in Iberia has brought chaos back to Barajas airport three days after the storm. The paper notes the Ministry for Development is to take action against Iberia for how some of its passengers were treated. The paper says the air traffic controllers union failed to call to replace those who had taken time off work sick.
ABC says that Development Ministry has blamed Iberia for the chaos and started disciplinary action. It quotes the Minster, Magdalena Álvarez, who said that when it snows not only do airport in Spain close.

ABC says that second gas war in Europe has reopened the debate on Nuclear Energy. The paper reports that Bulgaria, Lithuania and Slovakia have all restarted nuclear plants they had previously closed down. The paper considers that without any dependence on Russian gas, Spain is keeping her refusal to use atomic energy.
El País reports on Government plans to fix limits on the necessary military obedience. New regulations for the Armed Forces are being drawn up and are expected to be approved by the Government on Friday. El País has had access to the document and says that discrimination because of sexual orientation is now prohibited and there are plans to increase the ‘intercultural integration’ in the jails.
El Mundo notes that the Supreme Court has issued a sentence which obliges company to reveal how much they are paying their advisors, so that such payments can be taxed.
El País notes that Boeing has admitted that it did not advise Spanair about the possible problems in its wing alarm system. It regards the tragedy at Barajas Airport in Madrid and Boeing has admitted they did not tell Spanair for the need to revise the alarm system before every flight.
