A 40 year old Bolivian man, named with the initials T.R.D.S. died on Saturday after being hit by a lorry in Torrox. It seems the driver simply did not see the rider as he drove along the old N340 at around 2pm. The victim lived locally with his wife and children and had just picked up his repaired bicycle from a local workshop.
Meanwhile a resident of Nerja, named as 26 year old Argentinian, David C.A. died when his Peugeot 405 car fell some 20 metres into the River Guadalfeo in Vélez de Benaudalla. It happened at 8,30am on Sunday morning when the vehicle left the road on a curve. Two others were injured, one of them managed to get out of the vehicle and alert the authorities.
