There have been more arrests in the Faycán corruption case in Telde, Gran Canaria, where almost thirty people are implicated in alleged corruption at the Town Hall.

The two latest arrests are Alejandro and Francisco José Fernández Torres, whose mother, María Antonia Torres, and sister, María Eugenia, were both arrested in the case last year.

María Antonia Torres was formerly public works councillor at the Town Hall. Her two children are due to appear in Instruction No. 3 in Telde on Thursday morning.

One of those taken into custody last year was Francisco Valido, who was Partido Popular Mayor of Telde until his arrest and subsequent resignation.
