Scarlett Johansson has arrived in Barcelona to start filming with Woody Allen. The United States director presented the project of the film, 'Midnight in Barcelona', to the press in the city yesterday, and said that filming would start on Monday.
Allen only spoke for five minutes in the gardens of a Barcelona hotel, saying it was a grand challenge for him to film in a country which did not speak English. He said he had been studying Spanish, but because he did not pay attention had
learnt nothing.
He said his film would present the city of Barcelona as he sees it, just as he had done with Manhattan.
Filming will take seven weeks, in Barcelona, Oviedo and New York and the project has a budget of 12 million €.
Leading lady Scarlett Johansson will be joined on film by the two top Spanish actors, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz.
