Massive operation against Internet child pornography

A National Police operation coordinated by Interpol, and initiated with information from police in Germany, has arrested more than 60 people across Spain and confiscated 48 million photographs and videos of child pornography.

The arrests and searches took place in 40 provinces over the past two weeks, together with investigations into more than 5,000 downloads in Spain of pornographic images hosted on servers in Germany.

Investigators from the Technological Investigation Brigade have so far identified and arrested 66 of the 85 users who downloaded the images.
