Police in Dénia have arrested a gang of counterfeiters and thieves who had been robbing properties in the area.
A total of 17 people have been detained by the National Police who describe the gang as experts in note and credit card copying.
Around 500 credit cards, ready to be copied, were found at the scene. Police believe the gang has links to other criminals in Italy.
Most of those arrested are of Romanian origin.
The gang also carried out nighttime thefts from homes while the owners were still asleep inside, making use of windows and doors left open in the summer heat.
