It’s been a weekend of immigrant arrivals in Almería province, with 113 passengers on nine boats over Saturday and Sunday, with two people rescued by a boat fishing off Carboneras as they tried to swim to shore.
It’s understood that all the migrants were adults from Algeria and Morocco, with at least one woman amongst their number.
In western Andalucía meanwhile, 63 migrants were intercepted in two boats off Cádiz province this weekend, off Cabo de Roche and Barbate, and another was found hiding beneath a lorry in Tarifa.
In total more than 220 immigrants have arrived on the Cádiz and Almería coasts in just two days.
