A threatened ambulance strike on the Canary Islands has been called off after agreement was reached on Monday between unions and business in the sector. The strike was due to have taken place over November and December.
The agreement includes setting up a watchdog committee to oversee compliance with an arbitration decision from this August, which itself put an end to previous conflicts during the first quarter of the year.
The committee’s first meeting is expected to take place on 6th November, at the headquarters of the Canarias Labour Tribunal in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, according to a report from ACN Press on Monday.
