An 80 year old woman was admitted to the Santa Ana District Hospital in Motril on Tuesday with serious burns, after a frying pan caught fire at her home in Guájar Alto. She was in the house alone at the time and ran outside in the street for help, with her body covered in flames.
Ideal newspaper said the pensioner suffered burns to 50% of her body, and was later transferred to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in the Andaluz capital, Seville, which is equipped with a specialised burns unit.
