Driver found not guilty after being caught in a speed trap at 260kms/hour claims 300,000 € damages

A driver who has finally been found not guilty of driving at 260 km/hour is now demanding 313,454 € from the state in damages caused to his reputation, with his photograph being published in the press, and for the three month period for which his driving licence was withdrawn.

The 42 year old had told the court that it was impossible for him to be travelling at 260km/hour as his car, an Audi A-8, had a speed limiter set at 250km/hour.
