A new study has shown that the Spanish who sleep the most live in Ceuta and Melilla. The latest numbers come from the National Health Survey and have been published by the INE National Statistics Institute.
Including the hours taken during a siesta, the average person in Ceuta and Melilla sleeps 8.37 hours a day, followed by those in La Rioja who also sleep just over 8 hours on average.
Those to sleep the least are in Castilla y León at 7.62 hours, while the average across the country comes in at 7.77 hours.
The survey shows that there is little difference across the country, and shows that the Spanish do find more time to sleep than many tourists might imagine.
