Spain celebrates the Music Prizes in Valladolid

Chambao, Pastora Soler and Miguel Bosé were the big winners in the Premios de la Música held in Valladolid last night.
Best album was for ‘Papito’ by Miguel Bosé who also won best production, although the 52 year old singer was not present at the ceremony.

Best live act was Fito & Fitipaldis, who carried out more than 90 concerts last year to promote the album ‘Por la boca vive el pez’.

Mexican band Zoé won the best Latin newcomer prize, while the domestic award in that category went to Conchita.

Big loser on the night was Diana Navarro who was overlooked this year despite having five nominations.

Best Album: Papito, by Miguel Bosé.
Best new writer: Conchita, with the album "Nada más".
Best new performer: Conchita.
Best Song: Luz Casal, for "Soy".
Best Album : Antonia Font, for "Coser i cantar".
Best Tour in 2007: Fito & Fitipaldis.
Premio Latino de Honor: Franco de Vita.
Best Latin newcomer : Zoé.
Best Fusion Album : Chambao.
Best Album - canción española: Pastora Soler.
Best Album - música tradicional: Luar na Lubre.
Best song in Galician : Luar na Lubre.
Best sound : Papi Tour de Miguel Bosé.
Best Musical Production: Papi Tour de Miguel Bosé.
Premio de honor: Manuel Alejandro.

One of the winners, Luz Casal, herself recovered from Cancer, will be giving a cancer benefit concert in Málaga Bullring on June 27.
