60 years of black and white Spanish film celebrated in Málaga

An exhibition which celebrates 60 years of Spanish film has been opened in Málaga by the actress Carmen Sevilla.

The 77 year old actress was only to pleased ‘Ay chiquillo!’ to show how slim she looked all those years ago in the 122 photos which are now on display in the Municipal Archive in the city and placed along the central Calle Marqués de Larios, and in the María Zambrano railway station.

Called ‘Nostalgia in Black and White, 1915-1975’ a book of the stills from the EFE news agency is also available. The whole idea put together by the journalist and film critic, Javier Angulo, to tie in with the opening of the Málaga Spanish Film Festival. He searched through the EFE archive of some 15 million photos to make his selection which you can see in the city for free until May 2.
