Residents of the Málaga village of Canillas de Aceituno are demonstrating today at 7pm to show their support for the family of Manuel Marín Hidalgo, the 15 year old who vanished from the village on Monday last week.
Mayor of the village, José Manuel Aranda, told Europa Press that a march will take place from the edge of the village to the central Plaza de la Constitución.
Demonstrations will also take place at the same time, 7pm, outside the town halls in other towns and villages of the Axarquia.
An earlier demonstration saw some 200 people gather outside the Canillas Town Hall on Friday. The objective of the demonstration is also to keep the case in the news.
Meanwhile the search for the youngster has been extended by the Guardia Civil to a national level. They say they have received several clues from the public and have thanked them for their continued collaboration.
Manuel Marín Hidalgo was last seen at 7pm on March 31. He is thought to have left home with no money, no mobile phone and no ID.
