Three dead in domestic violence tragedy in Guadalajara

A 34 year old military man, Sergent Javier Lacasa Cebolledo, killed his ex partner, 34 year old Argentinean, Sylvina Jannette Bassari, and her new boyfriend, a prison guard named as 38 year old Andrés M.J., yesterday morning, before committing suicide. It happened at 7,30am in Alovera, Guadalajara as he fired a total of five shots with his pistol.

All the shootings were witnessed by the couple’s four year old son, who is now being attended to by social services and psychologists in the Guadalajara University Hospital.

The aggressor had been denounced for domestic violence in both 2003 and 2006 and had been ordered to hand in his firearms. There was a 500m distancing order in effect against him.
