Woman charged with serious cruelty after leaving her two pet dogs alone for a month without food

The Catalan regional police force, Los Mossos d’Esquadra, have charged a 25 year old woman, named as Aroa F.R. from Santa Coloma de Gramanet, Barcelona with serious ill-treatment of domestic animals after leaving her two dogs alone in a flat.

The abandonment caused the death of one of the dogs, and the second animal, showing evident signs of malnutrition, had started to eat the first one.

Neighbours had called the police when they realised that nobody had been to feed the dogs in a month.
