The numbers of people seeing Spanish films in the cinema in Spain has collapsed after a strong start to the year.
March showed a very poor 5% of total filmgoers seeing Spanish films after the numbers reached 26% in January and February.

'The Oxford Crimes', by Alex de la Iglesia, was the most popular film for the year to the end of April, and the numbers are what they are thanks to that film and ‘Mortadelo y Filemón’ by Miguel Bardem.

As usual United States films lead the popularity stakes, with the United Kingdom in third place.
