Spanish tourists are shortening the time they are spending on their holiday breaks to the Costa Blanca.

New numbers for this year show that the economic crisis is beginning to bite, with the average length of hotel stays of ten days seen last year, now forecast to reduce to just five days this summer. This reduction is confirmed by bookings already made, according to Informacion newspaper today.

Tourism chiefs have calculated that the national tourist will have 8% less money to spend during their break.
