Work started last night on the regeneration of the Levante beach in Benidorm which has lost a large amount of sand during recent storms. The work in the area known as Rincón de Loix, will see some 5,000 square metres of new sand created.
The work has a budget of 290,000 € and sees 15,000 cubic metres of new sand being brought in. The sand comes from a sand bank which was created earlier in the year under the wall of the old Paseo de Poniente.
