Rafa Nadal has won the Queens Tennis Championship in London, a significant win for the Spaniard as it is his first tournament win on grass, and comes a week after winning on the clay at Roland Garros, and a week ahead of the Wimbeldon where he has been two times finalist and the stage is set this year for another showpiece final with Roger Federer.
The Swiss player was meanwhile winning the Halle championship for the 5th time.
Nadal beat Novak Djokovic 7-6, 7-5 coming back from 3-0 behind in the first set, and thus becomes the first Spaniard to win on grass since Andrés Gimeno did so in Eastbourne in 1972.
