The Ex Mayor of Marbella, Julián Muñoz, and the ex Municipal Real Estate Assessor in the town, Juan Antonio Roca, were both taken from the Alhaurín de la Torre prison in Málaga today to the courts in Marbella to declare in separate sections of the Malaya real estate corruption case.
The two men shared a van which arrived at the court at 10am.
The instruction judge in the case, Oscár Pérez, opened a new angle of the case last December following a police report of links between one of Roca’s companies and the businessman Francisco Javier Arteche and land deals in the areas of Ave María and Francisco Norte.
Arteche is also to appear before the judge, along with others including the lawyers Manuel Sánchez Zubizarreta and Francisco Soriano Pastor, who are also facing charges in the Malaya case.
Declarations continue in another section of the case tomorrow, Tuesday, with the appearance of the ex Mayor, Marisol Yagüe, and the businessmen and women, Carlos Sánchez, Andrés Lietor and Inés Soroeta.
