Alicante cafe shooter dies in hospital

The man who on Wednesday shot a waitress in the Blanco y Negro cafeteria in Albufereta, Alicante, and then turned the gun on himself, died in the Alicante General Hospital at 11am this morning.
Police are continuing to investigate the relationship between the man and the woman. The man is now named as being Iranian, aged 44 and with the initials S.G. Before he shot the 30 year old Russian waitress the man tried to throw acid over her.
She has now been allowed home after treatment to the wound to her left leg.
