Spain is to meet Germany in the final of the European Champion ship after beating Russia 0-3 in the semi final last night.
The three Spanish goal scorers were Xavi Hernández, Dani Güiza and David Silva and take Spain to face Germany in the final on Sunday.

Russia as home team wore the red preferred by the Spanish who played in a mustard coloured away strip. The first half was tight with the Russians having as many chances as the Spanish, but in the second half the play and plans drawn up by Luis Aragonés Suárez dominated.

The bad news of the night, and the first half was an injury to David Villa, who pulled a muscle during a shot and who will not be available on Sunday, but when Cesc Fabregas was put on as his substitute the Spanish performance started.

There was a welcome return to form for Andrés Iniesta.
Sergio Ramos was the motor to the victory, with Iniesta, Xavi, Silva and Cesc picking up the play which finally turned into a dance and left the Russians thinking what might have been.

It is the first European final for Spain in 24 years.
