Juan José Cortés calls for judge to be sacked

Juan José Cortés has said that he will only be happy when Judge Rafael Tirado is removed from his career as a judge.

The father of Mari Luz Cortés, who was allegedly killed by a paedophile, Santiago del Valle, who should have been sent to prison by Judge Tirado at the time for a previous crime, was in Ceuta collecting signatures for his campaign for life imprisonment for paedophiles. He said the judge had left Santiago del Valle to go free for seven years after a chain of errors, and the fine imposed on the judge for his error – of between 1000 and 6000 € was a clear injustice.

A demonstration has been organised outside the courts in Sevilla for July 7. The families campaign for life imprisonment has so far collected more than 1.4 million signatures.
